Arrival in Lijiang, Yunnan (approx. 2,400m above sea level)
Acclimatize to the altitude and rest. Travel to Lashihai Lake in Lijiang to observe migratory birds that overwinter or spend summer here. As Yunnan’s first nature reserve designated as a "wetland", Lashihai Lake welcomes approximately 30,000 migratory birds of around 57 species each year for overwintering. On the clear lake surface, migratory birds either perch peacefully or soar across the sky, forming a poetic scene with the reflected Jade Dragon Snow Mountain.

Chengdu → Tangjiahe (approx. 4-hour drive)
Observe forest species (such as Takins, Goral, etc.) and birds of prey like golden eagles and bearded vultures in Tangjiahe. Tangjiahe is one of the regions with the highest wildlife observation success rates in western China. As you walk along the river valley, you have an almost 100% chance of encountering golden-furred takins—this area is home to one-third of China’s total takin population. Tibetan macaques also appear from time to time, and their facial color changes, ranging from the "pale-faced scholar" to the "crimson-faced Guan Gong" , are quite fascinating. Muntjacs, Gorals, Yellow-throated martens, and Leopard cats also inhabit this forest paradise.
Professional nature instructors will lead you deep into the mountains and forests, teaching you to identify animal feces and footprints, and helping you gain in-depth knowledge of their living habits.

Chengdu City → Mount Wawu
As Asia’s largest table mountain, Mount Wawu boasts an extremely high forest coverage rate. Its superior ecological environment nurtures countless living creatures. Between the mountain forests at an altitude of 1,200m and 2,900m, we have a high chance of encountering the rare Red pandas. These fluffy, reddish-brown little animals are utterly adorable—they may either lounge lazily on tree branches napping or forage cleverly for food.
The mountain is also home to a large number of rare bird species, including multiple Chinese endemic parrotbill species such as the Dark Parrotbill and Three-toed Parrotbill. It is truly worthy of its reputation as the "Hometown of Chinese Parrotbills".
