  3. D3: Osh - Fergana Valley

    Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning — Osh city tour (Sulaiman-Too Sacred Mountain, city center). Lunch at a local restaurant. Transfer to Dustlik Border Checkpoint (border with Uzbekistan). Crossing the border at Dustlik Border Post into Uzbekistan, meeting by the guide on Uzbek side. Dive to Margilan (70 km) - one of the oldest cities in Central Asia, which remembers the invasion of Alexander the Great. Margilan was famous in ancient times for the production of the best silk in Central Asia, which could compete with Chinese in quality and beauty. Merchants exported Margilan silk along the Great Silk Road to Egypt and Greece, Baghdad, Khorasan and Kashgar. Nowadays Margilan is called the silk capital of Uzbekistan. We will visit the Yodgorlik factory - the factory that has preserved the manual method of silk production using the ancient technologies. We will see the process of transformation of the silkworm cocoon into various traditional fabrics. We can buy silk and semi-silk fabrics at factory brand store. OPTIONALLY: 1. batik silk dipping class in Yodgorlik (30 min) – guests will paint the silk scarf and then take them as souvenirs, usd 30/pax (subject to change) Drive to Fergana (12 km), accommodation and rest.

  4. D4: Fergana Valley - Toshkent

    After breakfast drive to Kokand.

    Kokand is the handicraft capital of Uzbekistan, in ancient times it was the center of education and sciences. At the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries Kokand was one of the most important and very rich cities of the Russian Empire. This is how palaces and mansions appeared here and the traveler's eyes, accustomed to turquoise domes, may not recognize Uzbekistan.

    • Palace of Khudoyar Khan - the last ruler of the Kokand Khanate

    • Friday Mosque and Norbut Bia Madrasah
